| UK and Serbian Tour 2006 |
09/12/06
Just back from our UK tour and our Serbian adventures. Still in recovery from both of them. Our UK tour was a success, we met many new people that we fell in love with, we might have to marry all of them. Great to see all the old friends also. Next year we are going to make it for the entire Fringe festival, this year was not nearly enough time. The highlands showed us beautiful heather in full bloom, delicious whisky and many houses packed with dancing bodies, so lovely. First time to Leeds in England, which we found to have a great experimental and avant-garde scene. Then Bath England to the famous pub "The Bell" which is ever so smokey and packed with smiling and dancing people. The start of the trip was camping with fabulous folks from all over that were musicians and in theatre, we made instant friends and played lovely music together.
Most all the Serbian stories are the same. Stay up all nite dancing till we fell
down listening to the best brass music we've ever heard wake up and do
it all over again. Had a large group with us from New York and New Orleans and progressively got larger with French and Germans and Polish friends we met. Drank slivovitz from the moment we got up till the moment we went down and
occasionally we ate large quantities of meat.
We'll soon have pictures up on our website from our travels. |
